The calcium and magnesium content in hard water deposit on the head and hence clogging which results in reduced flow. In order to remove the deposits rubber jets are provided lately in showers which makes it easy for the users to clean the heads themselves.

The spray pattern of the shower totally depends on the shower head of the shower. They vary in speed, design and spray patterns. There are two kinds of shower heads available in the market such as the basic simple perforated nozzle simple shower head or the portable hand-held shower head.
